Pat Wilson
Having spent a lifetime engaged in various arts and crafts hobbies but no real focus I found this changed during the first lockdown of 2020. It was then I started painting pet portraits to help the RSPCA for their fundraiser project. I enjoyed the challenge and found my artistic skills developed. This year I provided portraits for Jacob’s Ridge Animal Sanctuary and my donkey portrait was used for their online merchandise and sales of my paintings raised over £1,000 towards their funds. I continue to support the sanctuary and will be providing designs for their Christmas merchandise and they have adopted me as their official animal portrait artist!
I feel I am still developing as an artist as I continue to explore mixed media by trying different styles and techniques. The subjects too have varied greatly as I discover landscapes, still life and portraiture. I have had several commissions since starting my art career and look forward to new ventures in the future.
