Paint and textiles

Born in the 60’s on the North East Coast, and having always lived by the coast, I am naturally drawn to beaches, shorelines, the sea and rocky cliffs and take many photos on my walks. My initial creations were representational paintings of these subjects in watercolour and acrylic but I am now experimenting with a wider range of mediums including textiles to create more loose and semi-abstract pieces with the emphasis on colour and light. My most recent work has focussed on using paint and textile, primarily stitching, on canvas as well as paper.
