Seaham's George Elmy Lifeboat and crew were lost during a storm, just as they had almost made the shelter of the harbour. Curiously, decades later, as the rescued and restored George Elmy was being sailed back into the harbour, and tremendous flash of lighting pirced the sky above the returning vessel. This is an abstraction of the moment.
