Both Blood and Blue moon are rare. Red moons are a result of some light from the sun passing through our atmosphere and bends towards the Moon. The red light passes through but the other colours do not. Blue moon is rarer and occurs only when it is closer to the earth and when there are two full moons in the calendar month., hence the saying "Once in A Blue Moon"
